Turtley Loved Valentine's

We made these adorable treat bags at my Girl's Night Out class last night.  They are simple and fun!

Start with a 6x6" piece of DSP, mine is the Sweet Talk DSP

Score at 1" on all four sides.  Put your pattern right side up if there is one.  Score at 2 1/2 & 3 1/2"

Then cut the DSP as shown below:

Close up of the bottom of the box.  You remove the first square on the left and then cut on the score lines up to the 1" score line and wedge the flaps.

Fold on the score lines and glue the box side and bottom together.

Crease the sides of the bag top in and punch 2 holes centered in the top of the bag so that you can thread the ribbon through.  (I used a regular hole punch.)  At this point, I add treats to mine.  It easily fits about 10 Hershey's Kisses. Thread the ribbon through and tie into a bow!

Stamp the turtle in Black Memento onto Blushing Bride Cardstock and again on the DSP.  Punch the turtle out and fussy cut his shell.    I colored his cheek in the a watercolor pencil, and his toes with a Highland Heather blends marker.  Glue it together.

Use layering circle dies to cut a white circle and a slight larger red circle.  I cut the sentiment image apart so it would fit on the circle and stamped it in Real Red!

I hope you have as much fun with it as we did!
